Mary Ellen Stamper, wonderful daughter, sister and friend passed away peacefully on January 11th, 2025. Mary had celebrated her 95th birthday this passed summer. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Eleanor (Hawes) and Albert Stamper along with her five siblings Alberta, Edna, Eileen, Sonny (William) and Daintry. Mary loved her family and left to mourn are her many nieces, nephews and her cherished god-daughter.

Like her parents, Mary had an extraordinary work ethic and was employed by The Bay for 50 years. When you were Mary’s friend, you were a friend for life. She was a woman who loved to travel and see the world and she did so whenever she could. Once she retired, she traveled with her good friend Audrey, and we can only imagine the antics and the fun that they enjoyed. They were like two peas in a pod.

Mary cherished her independence and was able to live on her own with the kind and loving support of Richard and Leigh. Mary will be missed, but she would not want us to be sad for long. Instead , she would rather us recall the loving and wonderful times we shared.

At Mary’s request, there will be no funeral.
