It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our mother and grandmother Wafaa El-Bourji, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on 30 December 2024 at the age of 86.

Mrs El-Bourji, widow of the late Georges El-Azar, is survived by her children John (Martha Robinson), Najib (Lia Evangelo), Fadi (Amal Younes), Fadia (Roger Hobeishe), Amale (Khaled Nicolas Nehme).

Téta Wafaa will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Laura (Brad Schertle), Natalie (Gerasimos Moschonas), Johnny, Jessica (Alex Tarakjian), Jennifer, Meera, Maya, Yasmina and Serena, and her great-grandchildren Reagan, Ryan and baby Paris.

Right up until the last moment, Wafaa was full of joy, love and tenderness for the whole family and everyone she came into contact with.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 11 a.m., at the Église Orthodoxe D'Antioche De La Vierge Marie, 120 boul. East, Montréal.
Interment will follow at the Rideau Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 4239 des Sources Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
