Wilfrid Voyer
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Wilfrid Voyer at the age of 99, on November 21 in Montreal. He was the husband of Lucille Alain, who passed away in April 2022.
He is survived by his three children and their spouses: Jean-Pierre (Danielle Lizotte), Carole (Patrick Turcot) and Normand (Stéphanie de Celles). He was blessed with the affection of his grandchildren, Corinne (Jérôme), Gabrielle (Jean-Philippe), Sarah-Jane (Maxime), Joanie (Christopher), Louis-David (Marie-Pier), Vincent, Marianne (Vincent), Édouard and Christophe, and his nine great-grandchildren.
He also leaves his brothers and their spouses, Gonzague (Noella Tourigny) and Charles (Denise Vallée), his sisters Rachel (late André Coderre), Madeleine (late Gérard Alain), Lucienne (late Claude Alain), Aurore (late Jean-Paul Audet) and Dolorès (Claude Lanouette), and his sisters-in-law, Guylaine Alain (late Roméo Marchand), and Clémence Chassé (late Raymond Alain).
He was predeceased by his parents, Jean-Baptiste Voyer and Antoinette Dubuc, as well as by his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: the late Lucien (the late Irène Tremblay), the late Jeanne D'Arc (the late Léo Duplessis), the late Roland (the late Alice Allard), the late Romuald (the late Madeleine Blanchet/feu Claire Beaudoin), the late Simonne, sœur du St-Rosaire, the late Raymond, the late Rita (the late Léo Leclerc), the late Yvon (the late Marie-Claire Lacharité), the late Fernand Alain (the late Gisèle Bobineau), the late Simone Alain and the late Jean-Guy Alain, Montfortain priest.
He also leaves many nieces and nephews with whom he enjoyed laughing and singing at many family gatherings.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6. The family will welcome relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. at the Urgel Bourgie/Athos Funeral Complex, 3955 Côte-de-Liesse, Montreal, H4N 2N6. A religious ceremony will be held in the complex's chapel at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial in the adjacent cemetery, 805 Sainte-Croix Avenue, behind Saint-Laurent Church.
