Thérèse Dib Khoury
It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thérèse Dib, who leaves to join her beloved husband, the late Naoum Khoury, and her brother, the late Antoine Dib. Thérèse passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, surrounded by the love and comforting presence of her family.
She leaves behind an immeasurable void in the lives of her cherished children: Nina (late John Khawand), Tony, Michel (Grace Sawaya), Elie, and Reina (Aref Zerbé).
She is also mourned by her brother Jean Dib (Joujou Korek) and her sister Laurice Dib (late Georges Helou).
Her light will continue to shine through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she deeply adored: Bechara Khawand (Rima Nasra), Caroline Khawand (Noël Aoun), Alexandra Zerbé (Elie Nasr), Joseph Khoury, Christina Zerbé, Paul Khoury, Carl Khoury, and Mark Zerbé.
Téta Thérèse, as she was lovingly called, will remain in the hearts of her extended family: her nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many relatives and friends in Canada, Lebanon, Mexico, and Brazil.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie funeral complex, located at 1255 Beaumont Avenue, Mont-Royal.
The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Monastery of Saint Anthony the Great, 1520 Ducharme Avenue, Outremont, followed by the burial at the Urgel Bourgie Garden, 3955 Côte-de-Liesse Road, Saint-Laurent.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. April Shamy and the dedicated team at the Jewish General Hospital for the compassionate care provided to Thérèse in her final moments.
In memory of Thérèse, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Monastery of Saint Anthony or Diabetes Quebec would be greatly appreciated.
Thérèse has left us, but her smile, her kindness, and the love she sowed around her will remain forever engraved in our hearts.
