Pierre Saint-Jean
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Pierre Saint-Jean on November 9, 2024.
He is survived by his wife Ginette Gohier, his daughters Maude (Martin Côté) and Marie-Eve, his grandchildren Léandre, Romain, Simone, Rose and Victor, his sister Monique, as well as many nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and colleagues.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, his kindness, wisdom and attentiveness were outstanding. His profound love of life, his humanistic values and his erudition will long inspire all those who came into contact with him.
The family would like to thank the oncology teams at Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital for their exceptional care, as well as all those who crossed his path during the past year at the Montreal Heart Institute, Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital and Richardson Rehabilitation Centre.
His funeral service will be held on November 30, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint-Laurent Church, 805 avenue Sainte-Croix, H4L 3X6. Condolences will be received on site at 10:00 a.m.
A child psychiatrist for forty years, he put the well-being of children at the heart of his career. Your sympathy can be expressed through a donation to the children's clinic at the Pavillon Albert-Prévost, Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal.
