Gisèle Guertin
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Gisèle Guertin, wife of the late Yvon Besner, on September 27, 2024, at the age of 78.
She was the daughter of the late Noël Guertin and the late Aline Savaria.
Mrs. Gisèle Guertin is survived by her daughter Valérie-Kim (Martin), her brother Maurice (Sylvie) and many other relatives and friends.
She was a devoted mother and wife who loved her family unconditionally. Gisèle always had an act of tenderness, a little folly to make us laugh, and a thousand and one solutions to all our worries!
Uncompromisingly elegant, she loved music, decorating, travel and the art of entertaining.
Gisèle was a present and generous friend, and her talents as a hostess and her health advice will be remembered by all.
She was a committed nurse who advanced the profession through her work with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec for more than 25 years, her teaching of nursing at the Université de Montréal and her research on the pain threshold in women with Multiple Sclerosis as part of her master's studies.
The family will receive condolences on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, 8145 chemin de Chambly, St-Hubert.
The family will pay their respects around 3:30 p.m. and a light snack will be served in his honour around 4 p.m. on the premises.
Please do not send flowers, your expressions of sympathy may be in the form of a donation to the Charles Lemoyne Hospital Foundation.
