Antoine Ayoub
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Antoine Ayoub, Professor Emeritus at Laval University in Quebec City, on October 15, 2024 at the age of 88 in Montreal.
Professor Ayoub was a Member of the Order of Canada, Chevalier dans l'Ordre National du Québec, Chevalier dans l'Ordre de la Légion d'Honneur, Commandeur dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques, holder of the Médaille d'honneur du Collège de France and a member of the Ordre des francophones d'Amérique.
Mr. Ayoub is survived by a large family, including his wife Mrs. Yvonne Laimé-Ayoub, sons Ramez (Julie) and Samir (Isabelle), grandchildren Charles-Antoine (Frédérique), Anne-Sophie (Félix-Antoine), Sandrine (Olivier), Jasmine and Vincent. He is also survived by his brother Marcel (Nayla) and sisters Myriam (Antoine), Viviane (late Antoine) and the late Jocelyne (late Frank), as well as many nieces and nephews and many friends.
The family will receive condolences on November 10, 2024 at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex located at 1255 Beaumont Avenue from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
A service will be held on the same day at Saint Ephrem Syriac Cathedral, 3155 Bd Cartier O, Laval, QC H7V 1J6 from 3:00 pm.
