René Beauclair
In Montreal, on August 29, 2024, passed away Mr. René Beauclair, 77, of Shawinigan. He was the son of the late Maxime Beauclair and the late Yvonne Arvisais.
He is survived by his soul mate of the past 51 years, Anne Roy of Lévis, his children Anne-Marie (Félix Trudel) and Nicolas, his grandsons, and many relatives and friends.
After graduating from UDM with a master's degree in library science in 1973, he held a variety of jobs, the most important and significant of which was as head of the Cinémathèque Québécoise documentation center, from 1981 to 2012. A passionate reader and filmmaker, his work at the Cinémathèque has been a pathway to the actualization of his passions.
At his suggestion, a donation to the Papillon Foundation or Welcome Hall Mission, two causes close to his heart, would be appreciated.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather in his memory on September 14, 2024, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie complex, located at 6700 Beaubien Rue E Montréal QC H1M 3E3.
