It is with broken hearts we announce that Deonissios Aravantinos has fallen asleep in the Lord on July 24th 2024 after a short but powerful fight with cancer.

He was a man of strong faith, morals and convictions. He was a devoted husband and father. With faith in God, he raised his family with truth and love. Behind every decision was both a humble and humorous spirit.

He is survived by his wife Paraskevi of 62 years, his children Maria, Evangelia (Athanasios) and Fr. Evangelos (Pra. Joanna). He will be missed by his grandchildren Chrysoula, George, Nektaria (Konstantinos), Demetre, Alexander, Maria and Dionysia. He was blessed to have had great-grandchildren Argyro, Dionysios and Athina.

Our sincere thanks for the kindness and care extended to him by his dedicated Dr. Shoucri, Dr. Wong and staff of the CLSC Saint Laurent, as well the physicians and staff of Jewish General Hospital, particularly the Palliative care Unit.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday July 30th, 2024, at 11:30 am in Archangels Greek Orthodox Church at 11801 Av. Élie-Blanchard, Montréal. Followed by burial at Notre-Dame des Neiges Cemetary Cemetery at 4601 Chemin de la Cote-des-Neiges, Montreal.

The family will receive your condolences at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home at 1255 Beaumont Ave, Mount Royal, on Monday July 29th, from 3pm till 5pm and 7pm till 9pm.

May he have a blessed entrance in to Paradise and his memory to be eternal.
