Frank Emmanuel EDWARDS May 17, 1921 – June 05, 2024

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Frank Emmanuel Edwards. He was the husband of Mrs. Lorna Cyrus Edwards. Frank was predeceased by his mother (Christiana Coppin Edwards), father (Charmin Bernard Edwards) and siblings (Dora Christian, Vernon Edwards, John Coppin, O’Brian Moore, Lawrence Langdon, Ambrosin Edwards, Elizabeth Edwards, Henry Langdon, Cedric Edwards, Marguerite James, Milly Charles, Leeroy Edwards, Frederick Edwards, Simon Joseph and Amy DeLeon. He is survived by Gertrude Charles and Judith Jones.

Frank is survived by his 5 children (Dean, Roslyn, Keith, Neil and Brian), 7 grandchildren (Derek, Darren, Melika, Darnell, Emma, Eden and Cairo), and 4 great grandchildren (Justice, Davin, Jayden and Yasmeen).

Frank was born in Trinidad, West Indies and left on December 24, 1948 to emigrate to Canada arriving in Saint John, New Brunswick on January 07, 1949. He travelled by train and arrived in Montreal two days later where he resided for the rest of his life.

Frank worked for the Canadian National Railroad before employment with Trans Canada Airlines in 1952. He worked on the DEW line (Distant Early Warning line) in the north at Goose Bay Labrador for about two years and then returned to Montreal and continued working with the airline until retirement from Air Canada in 1983.

Frank enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and travelling. He was a good conversationalist and frequently engaged in many dialogues with family, friends and acquaintances. He amassed many stories and experiences during his 103 years of life. Frank lived a long life and will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 3 pm in the chapel of Urgel Bourgie/Feron Funeral Complex, 1275 Dollard, Ville Lasalle. Visiting hours: Saturday 1-3 pm.
