It is with sadness that we announce the death of Gilles Dionne, who passed away in Montreal on June 21, 2024 at the age of 85.
A native of Isle-Verte, he was the son of the late Georges Dionne and the late Angéline Tremblay.

Gilles is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Marie-Marthe Laberge, his beloved children Caroline (Benoit Dorion) and Maxime (Kathy Schmidt). He was also the loving grandfather of his 5 grandchildren: Justin (Florence Derome), Gabriel, Alice, Jeanne and Charles.

Gilles will also be missed by many family and friends.

They will all remember his gift and passion for music, his love of the French language and Quebec, and his sense of humour.

The family will receive condolences at the Urgel Bourgie /Athos Funeral Home (3955 chemin de la Côte -de -Liesse, Saint-Laurent, H4N 2N6) on Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. in Saint-Hippolyte Church (1055 rue Tassé, Saint-Laurent, H4L 1P6).
