Information

Émilien Dumaresq, husband of the late May Dumaresq, passed away at St-Léonard, Montréal, on June 10, 2024, at the age of 96. He is survived by his children: Mario (Claire), Johanne (Jean), François (Hélène) as well as 4 grandchildren and their spouses: Joëlle, Jean-Luc, Geneviève and Jean-Sébastien; also, 7 great-grandchildren: Coralie, Samuel, Olivier, Rémi, Étienne, Roseline, Mateo, as well as relatives and friends.

An insurance broker until his retirement in 1986, he and his wife May enjoyed bridge, golf, theater and travel.

A lifetime member of the Fondation Épic as Chancellor, Émilien volunteered for social and humanitarian causes; he also served as volunteer Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Caisse Populaire Notre-Dame-du-Foyer for over 25 years.

In accordance with his wishes, he will not be laid to rest. Funeral services, with his ashes in attendance, will be held at Complexe Urgel-Bourgie, St-François d'Assise Cemetery, 6700 Beaubien Street East, Montreal.

The family will welcome you from 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, followed by a religious service and reception at the same location, where those who knew him well are invited to pay their last respects. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fondation Maisonneuve-Rosemont, Diabète Québec and/or the Montreal Heart Institute (see display).
