It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jai Hong Yang on Sunday June 2, 2024 in his 85th year in Montreal, Quebec. He was born in Jun Nam, Korea on March 19, 1939. He leaves to mourn Evelyn (Chris Pekala), Vivianne (Cleo), Marie-Anne (Manh Ly, Denver), 3 sisters, Chun Ja Yang, Kang Ja Kim(Yang), Eun Ja Cho(Yang) and 2 brothers, Jai Ong Yang and Jai Un Yang. He is preceded in death by his wife Hei Won Yang (Choi)

The family wishes to thank Dr. Maxine Cormier and Hanh Nguyen, Nurse Clinician, from the MUHC Interstitial Lung Disease division for their exceptional care and support.

We are also grateful to the staff at the Centre d’hebergement Real-Moral for their care and kindness. He was known to be a strong man, who knew what he wanted and fought for the best.

A viewing will be held for family and friends on Tuesday, June 11 between 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Urgel Bourgie - Athos Cemetary Garden and Funeral Complex, 3955 De la Côte-de-Liesse Rd, Saint-Laurent, Quebec H4N 2N6
