It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Claude Lavoie on May 30, 2024 in Montreal at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Antonio Lavoie and the late Aline Tessier, and the father of the late Claude Lavoie junior.

He is survived by his children Danielle Lavoie (André Paquette) and Pierre Lavoie (Isabelle Michaud), his grandchildren Jonathan Lavoie (Mariah Ratsch Geraghty), Mathieu Lavoie, Maryse Paquette (Thérèse Nguyen), Lorraine Paquette (Carl Lemelin), Louis Paquette, Caroline Lavoie (Frédérick Hunt) and David Lavoie, and his great-grandson Logan Hunt.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Yves Lavoie (Louise Robitaille), Guy Lavoie, Louise Lavoie and the late Diane Lavoie, his nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends from his great sports and entertainment families.

The family will receive condolences on June 28, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on June 29, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Urgel Bourgie / Athos Funeral Complex, 6700 Beaubien Street, Montreal.

Funeral services will be held on June 29, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Église Saint-Bonaventure, 5205 rue Saint-Zotique, Montréal, followed by interment at Repos Saint-François d'Assise.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
