It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mrs. Catherine Abaji, widow of the late Abdel Massih Karkouche. She passed away on Friday May 24, 2024 peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones.

She is survived by her daughter Nelly Karkouche and her two grandsons Alex Karkouche and Jean Marc Mardo.

Catherine will be dearly missed by her brothers Antoine Abaji (Nadia Kanaan) and family and Jean Abaji (Sanaa Touchan) and family as well as her sister Marguerite Abaji( Franco Mnayerji) and family.

She is also survived by her cousins Jacqueline, Odette, Shirley and Hélène Abaji and their families, and her cousin Alfred Abaji and family.

Catherine will be missed by many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The family will receive your condolences on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, 1255 Beaumont Ave, Mont Royal.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the Cathédrale Syriaque Saint Ephrem at 3155 Blvd Cartier Est, Laval.

Interment will follow at Saint Martin Cemetery, 4080 Boulevard Saint Martin Ouest, Laval.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in the name of Cathédrale Syriaque Saint Ephrem would be appreciated.
