It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio (Tony) Barone on May 21, 2024, at the age of 88. Devoted son, brother, uncle, and loving companion to Gilberte (Betty); he is predeceased by his dear parents Ida and Orlando, and his loving sister Gilda. He also leaves to mourn his beloved brother Ernesto (Filomena), brother-in-law Giovanni, and three generations of nieces and nephews.

Tony arrived in Montréal as a young man in the early fifties and forged a new life here with his family. A hard worker who always put his family above himself, he was proud to have worked at the Ritz-Carlton before embarking on a long career as a barber and successfully operating his salon, Le Baron, in Town of Mount-Royal for many decades.

He was a bon vivant, an exceptional dancer, a sharp dresser, an accomplished gardener that fed the entire family, and he would always light up any room with his infectious smile.

A visitation will be held on June 4, 2024 between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM followed by a ceremony at Urgel Bourgie 1255 Beaumont, TMR.
