On May 15, 2024, Angèle Deshaies left this earthly world to dance among the stars. At the deserving age of 90, her life was a symphony of joyous moments, overcome challenges and immeasurable love.

Her laughter was contagious and her generosity kind to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Angèle was proud to be a Deshaies. She came from the family of the late Nestor Deshaies and Alphonsine Cyrenne, and was a close friend of her eight sisters and three brothers. Wife of the late Paul-Émile Ménard, with whom three children were born.

She leaves in peace her children and their spouses Alain (Diane), Sylvie and Ginette (Yves), her grandchildren Sabrina (Remi), Martin, Mélanie (Rock), Virginie (Anthony) and Antoine (Nancy) and her great-granddaughter Emma. She also cherishes her departure with her sister Rolande, her brother André and her gang of nieces and nephews. She salutes all members of the Ménard family, near and far. Throughout her life, she forged deep bonds of friendship and complicity with loved and loving people. She sends hugs and kisses to one and all.

Her family would like to thank the employees of the Résidence de Longueuil and, over the years, the healthcare professionals at Pierre-Boucher Hospital.

Join us for a final farewell on June 8, 2024, at 1 p.m., where we will celebrate our only mother's wishes, at the Urgel Bourgie / Athos Funeral Complex located at 2500, avenue des Perron in Laval H7J 1G5. The ceremony will be followed by an afternoon tea.

In lieu of flowers, Angèle would like donations to be made to the Pierre-Boucher Hospital Foundation to continue sowing the seeds of the love she always showed.
