Roger Déry, 90, passed away in Montréal on May 2, 2024. He was the husband of the late Gertrude Hupée, father of the late Jean Déry and common-law spouse of the late Claire Courtois.

He is survived by his daughters, Lise and Manon (Yves), his grandchildren, Marie-Josée (Marc-André), François, Joël (Camila) and Maude (Jean-Marc), and his great-grandchildren, Naomie, Mia, Béatrice, Zakary, Ophélie, Jacob and Maéva.

He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Johanne, his son-in-law, Serge and their family, nephews and nieces, and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the entire team at Résidence Soleil Pointe-aux-Trembles, the geriatric team at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont and the nursing staff at Hôpital Santa Cabrini for their devotion, support and good care.

Donations to the Fondation de l'un de ces hôpitaux or to the Fondation québécoise du cancer would be appreciated.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie Athos Complex, 3955 Chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse, Montreal, followed by a liturgical ceremony at 2 p.m. in the Complex chapel and burial in the Complex cemetery.
