With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Philip Bouassaly, surrounded by his family on May 7, 2024, at the age of 89.

He was deeply loved and cherished by his wife of 59 years, Souad Hodhod Bouassaly, and adored by his three sons George (recently departed), Michael (Roxanne Boulos) and John (Nathalie Woolley). He loved and was so proud of his three grandchildren Jenna, Catherine, and Tyler. Philip was the beloved son of Michael Bouassaly and Zakiey Ayoub and his stepmother Zahia Kousaie. He was predeceased by his loving sisters Violet (Tony Dirani) and Laurice (Fouad Hodhod). He also leaves to mourn many dear relatives and friends.

Philip devoted his life to his family, which was also rooted in his faith and the church. He was a dedicated member of the Saint George Choir for over 50 years and even after he 'retired', he could be heard quietly singing along while sitting as a parishioner. He always looked forward to partaking in the various church celebrations and annual conventions.

on Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm

Funeral Service will take place at:
St. George Orthodox Church, 555 Jean Talon St. E, Montreal, Qc
on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 11:00 am (visitation from 10 to 11 am)

Burial following at:
The Mount Royal Cemetery
1297 Forest Rd, Outremont, Qc

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint George Orthodox Church of Montreal.
