Joseph (Peppe) Prata
1949 - 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph (Peppe) Prata on Saturday, April 13th at the Centre de la Cite hospital in Laval surrounded by his family. After a courageous battle with cancer, he is joining his parents in their eternal home.

Joseph was born in Pontecorvo, Italy and immigrated with his family to Canada in 1957. He lived a full life and touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life. He loved nothing more than being with his family & friends. His home was always full of visitors. In his later years, he developed a great talent for gardening, golf and travel.

He is survived by his wife Irene, sister Adriana (Amedeo), children Mike (Deborah), James (Claudia), John (Lorena), Sue (Morey) and three wonderful grandchildren Christopher, Alexa and Mila Prata.

The family will receive condolences at the Urgel Bourgie funeral home located at 3955 Chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse, Montreal, Sunday, April 21st from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Monday, April 22nd, the visitations will be between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., followed by a Chapel service.
