De Carignan, February 19, 2024, at the age of 57, passed away Mr. Éric Dequenne, husband of Marie-Josée Giroux. He was the son of the late Mr. Armand Dequenne and the late Mrs. Denise Clermont. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Léandre-Samuel and William-Henry, his mother-in-law Mamie Pierrette Giroux (late Yvon Giroux), his aunt Mamie Pierrette and his uncle Papi Jean-Claude Marchand. In addition to his other family members in Quebec, he is survived by his family in Belgium, Annie Dequenne, Yvette Dequenne, Thierry De Leeuw, Alena Kandratsenka, Elisabeth and Julien, Valerie De Leeuw, Noémie and Julie. A man after his own heart, Éric is also survived by loved ones whom he also considered family: Jean-Pierre Therrien, Patrick Gariup and Isabelle Doray, Pierre Cinq-Mars and Marielle Van Velzen, Normand Sawyer and France Binette. Throughout his life, he forged close ties with friends, colleagues and co-workers who will miss this kind and engaging man. In accordance with Éric's wishes, the family will receive condolences on Saturday, March 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie salon in Saint-Bruno, 1559 rue Montarville, J3V 3T8, followed by an hour of condolence at 1 p.m. in the Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville church, 1668 Rue de Montarville, J3V 3T9, with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Your sympathy may be expressed by a donation to the Fondation du CHUM
