It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Amalia Maria Argentino (née Maratta). A devoted wife of 72 years to her husband Giovannantonio and a loving mother to her six children. She was predeceased by her daughter Antoinette (Ted) and leaves to mourn Anne-Marie (the late Ted), Giovanni Antonio (Victoria), Marco Antonio (Line), Claudia (Curtis), Cinzia (David).
She will be greatly missed and her legacy lives on through her eight cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Ashley-Ann, Marc-André, Alexandra, Manuelita, Denzel, and Daniel; and her five great-grandchildren, Henry, Amalia, Anthony, Zachary, and Caleb.

Throughout her life, Amalia Maria was a beacon of sacrifice and strength in our large family. Her unwavering dedication to raising us, without a hint of complaint, even in time of sickness stands as a testament to her incredible character. She was the anchor, the very soul of our family, embodying resilience, as she persevered these past 9 years, fighting against Alzheimer’s, which robbed her of all her loving memories. Our Family would like to express our great appreciation for the wonderful care she received from the LaSalle CLSC, and special thanks to Christiana, Maggie, and Grace.

The family will receive condolences at the Urgel Bourgie funeral home,at, 1275 Dollard, in Montreal On February 8, 2024 from 13h00 to 16h30 and from 18h00 to 21h00.

On February 9, 2024 at 13h30 a Funeral service will be held at St-Ignatius of Loyola Parish (4455 West Broadway, Notre Dame de Grace). Followed by the Rite of Committal at Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer society in memory of Amalia Maria Maratta
