Mary and André met in Pictou, Nova Scotia and married in September 1960. They were married for 63 years. Due to André’s career in the military, the family lived in many places including, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, St, Bruno, Québec and Victoria, British Columbia. Mary created many new memories and met new friends in each place she lived. In 1988 Mary and André settled in St. Bruno, Québec.

Mary loved the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren making wonderful memories with them, singing “Michael Row Your Boat Ashore” and “You Are My Sunshine” as she sung them to sleep. She also enjoyed taking her grandchildren for walks, playing games with them and watching them swim in the pool.

Mary was involved with the St. Bruno Legion during the yearly poppy campaigns, she played Wednesday night darts and enjoyed the Legions Bingo nights. She was an avid knitter who enjoyed making knitted creations for her family.

Mary enjoyed gardening, reading and listening to Elvis. In her later years Mary enjoyed sitting on her swing in the backyard watching the birds and looking for her favourite, a red cardinal.

Mary will be remembered for the love she shared with her husband André. She was a wonderfully caring mother to her children and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. Mary will also be remembered for the strength she showed during her battle with breast and bone cancer.
