With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Antonio (Tony) Meti on October 25th, 2023.

Tony is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Della (Di Girolamo). He is survived by his children, Gloria (Peter Guerra) and Nicholas (Sarah Orlando), and his treasured grandchildren: Amber, Antony, Olivia, and Maia. He was a cherished son and he was also a loving brother to Nicola (Linda), Letizia (Lelilo), Lucy (Nino), and Terry (Tony), and held a special place in the hearts of numerous nieces and nephews

Tony's impact extended far beyond his family. He was not only a successful businessman but also a generous philanthropist, a steadfast friend, and a source of unwavering guidance and affection to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His influence touched the hearts of the entire community, and his legacy as a devoted husband, a dedicated father, and a doting Nonno will forever be etched in the collective memory of those whose lives he enriched.

The family expresses profound gratitude to his medical team: Dr. Mutrie, The Montreal Heart Institute, Dr. Pelletier, The Cedars Cancer Centre, Dr. Metrakos, Dr. Asselah, Daniel Abikhzer, Daphne Lamoussenery, Dr. McGilvray, and the University Health Network ICU team for their unwavering support and care.

Condolences will be received at the Urgel Bourgie / Athos – Town of Mount Royal Funeral Complex (Beaumont), 1255 Beaumont Ave, Mount Royal, Quebec H3P 3J1, on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023, from 2pm to 5pm and 6pm to 9pm.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Madonna della Difesa, 6800 Henri Julien Ave, Montreal, Quebec H2S 2V4, on Thursday, November 9th at 11 am.

Following the service, the entombment will be held at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery (Eulalie Durocher Mausoleum), 4601 Chem. De la Côte-des-Neiges, H3V 1E7.

The family kindly suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Miriam Foundation, where Tony served with pride as Chairman of the Board. Contributions will continue his passion for supporting those in need.
