Gleb Chiriaeff

1952-2023

Information

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Gleb Chiriaeff on September 18, 2023, in Montreal.

He leaves to mourn his daughter Valérie Ouimet-Chiriaeff (Francis Piquette), his grandchildren Adèle and Victor, his partner of the last 15 years, Linda Lewis, and his brothers and sisters with whom he was very close, Anastasie Chiriaeff, Avdé Chiriaeff, Katia Luft Mead, Ludmilla Luft Ivanovic and spouses as well as his beloved nieces and nephews.

As the son of Ludmilla Chiriaeff, he inherited his very own passion and immense intellectual and creative talent. In his day, Gleb was recognized as one of Montreal's leading creative minds in the field of advertising and publicity in Montreal and Toronto.

His great sensitivity, his lively intelligence, and his extraordinary wit have marked all the people he met during his life. Words and ideas were his craft. Until the very end, he loved to make people laugh and establish a unique bond with each person he met.

A special nod to his nurse, Morgan, who was with him the last few days.
The family will receive condolences on November 4, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Saint-Séraphin-de-Sarov Church (near the Russian cemetery) located at 3458, 15th avenue in Rawdon, J0K 1S0. Father Irénée, Gleb’s childhood friend, will celebrate a mass in his honor.
Following the ceremony, guests are invited to join the family at the parish hall, located at 3253 4th avenue, Rawdon, J0K 1S0.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society Foundation would be appreciated in Gleb's honor.
