Dimitrios Efthimiakopoulos

Dimitrios "Taki" Efthimiakopoulos, born on December 24, 1934, in Greece, passed away on May 10th, 2023, in South Shore, Quebec, Canada.

During his early years in Greece, Taki underwent the required military training, an experience he enjoyed talking about with pride. Even until his final days, Taki exhibited the remarkable resilience and determination he learned during his training. His daughter and son-in-law would motivate him to exercise by playfully acting as sergeants, commanding his attention in Greek, and counting until 10. Taki would promptly rise and engage in his exercises, even correcting anyone who counted incorrectly.

Taki also left a permanent mark in the restaurant industry, where he worked alongside his brother at Le Jolie Moulin for many years. There, he formed lasting friendships and effortlessly connected with countless individuals. Known for his charismatic personality, Taki was the beloved maître d' who captivated patrons with his engaging tableside flambé performances.
