It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rosario Di Vita on April 12, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his father, Ferdinando Di Vita, Rosario will be remembered by his wife, loving life-partner, and best friend, Roxane Corbeil, his two adoring daughters, Catherine (fiancé Manuel Sainsily) and Caroline (partner Gabriel Recke-Smith), his beloved mother, Lucietta De Vito, his doting sister, Loretta (spouse Antonio Pizzi), his sister-in-law, Diane (spouse Réjean Paré), his supportive cousins and godmother, Pierrette Massaro, his dear friends, and his puppy, Riley. Better known as Ross to his large network of colleagues, he will be deeply missed.

Rosario lived a full life and will be especially remembered for his ever-present smile, his gentle heart, his inquisitive mind, and his encyclopaedic knowledge of the world. He had a long career in commercial real estate at Manulife and was respected by all who met him. Rosario enjoyed riding his bike and tending to his garden. He had a passion for cooking and photography and was a natural drummer–always tapping his fingers to the beat of the music. He loved meeting new people - often bringing home stories of a new stranger-turned-friend and being surrounded by his loving family.

The family welcomes you to the Urgel Bourgie/Athos funeral complex of LaSalle, 1275 Dollard Avenue, Friday April 28 2023, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Saturday April 29 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, at the same location.

Donations can be made in Rosario’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
