Helen Brunet
Information
It is with great sorrow that we are announcing the passing of Helen Brunet in Montreal on November 9, 2022, at the age of 64. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing her will remember the passion for life that she shared with Marc Robin, her partner in love and in crime of 25 years, who lovingly and valiantly stood by her side until the end.
Daughter of the late Aline de Courcy-Brunet and Jean-Marc Brunet, she was Solange (Louis Roberts) and Marc’s beloved sister and lifelong friend. Helen was also a caring and doting aunt to her nephew Jeremy Roberts and her niece Laurence Roberts. Known for her great generosity and her passion for the arts, the world of fashion and travels, Helen had a wonderful sense of humor. Whatever she involved herself in, she took great pride in doing things meticulously and to the best of her abilities without ever taking herself too seriously.
By orienting her career towards teaching (Cégep Marie-Victorin), then working in a clothing research and innovation center (Vestechpro), she has bequeathed to new generations her love of traditions as well as her passion for progress and our changing society. That was Helen's own special way of contributing to a better world.
Her most beautiful legacy will remain the love she gave to her partner, her family, her friends, her colleagues, her students, and her love for life itself.
Helen’s family will welcome friends, family and colleagues that wish to celebrate her life to the Town of Mount Royal Urgel Bourgie funeral home at 1255 Beaumont av. H3P 3J1 on Saturday December 3rd from 1:00 until 4:00, followed by a ceremony.
This celebration of life will also be streamed on the funerary home’s website.
In lieu of flowers, your condolences can be expressed in the form of a donation to the Cancer Research Society.
