It is with deep regret and sadness that the family of Salvatore Vena announces his passing on October 13, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, colleague and true friend, Salvatore will be missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his loving wife Angela Chimienti, his mother Maria Panichella Vena (predeceased by his father Giuseppe Vena), his brother Antonio Vena (Suzanne de la Durantaye) and their children, Cristina and Matteo Vena. He also leaves his mother-in-law Giovanna Chimienti, brothers- and sisters-in law Santa and Giovanni Salafia, Cosimo and Tina Chimienti, Paul and Laurie Chimienti, Dora and Giovanni Petrella, and many nieces and nephews and extended family members, good friends, and colleagues at Peerless Clothing.

The family will receive condolences at the Urgel Bourgie funeral complex, 6700 Beaubien Street East, Montreal, on Wednesday, October 19, from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. as well as on Thursday, October 20, from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. The funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. at the Saint-Simon Apôtre Church, 145 de Beauharnois Street West, Montreal.
