It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Panagiota Flarakos (née Rizis) predeceased by her beloved husband Kostantinos Flarakos. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Themis (Doxy) and Jimmy (Caroline). Beloved and devoted grandmother to Kosta, Loukas and Khloe-Panagiota.

Predeceased by her sister Fotini and her brothers John and George. She is survived by her youngest brother Peter, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, spouses, children, many relatives and friends.

We also wish to extend our gratitude and appreciation to the wonderful and dedicated caregivers at CHSLD Saint-Vincent-Marie who protected and cared for her with respect, compassion and empathy – a place where she clearly felt comfortable.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday May 5th, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home, 1255 Beaumont Ave., Mont-Royal, QC H3P 2H2.

The funeral service will be held on Friday May 6th at 11 a.m. at St-George’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral located at 2455 Chemin Côte Ste-Catherine, Montréal, QC H3T 1A8 followed by internment at NDG Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery (Cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges) with her beloved husband.

A reception will follow thereafter at St-George’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
