Peacefully passed into the spirit world surrounded by her loving family and partner at the McGill University Health Centre on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at the early age of 48 years, after her courageous battle with illness. Marlene was the cherished daughter of Peter and Mona Neumann, dear sister of Jennifer Neumann(Paul Geary), beloved partner of 20 years William Wong and her much-loved cat Brodie. Marlene will be greatly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and her nephew Patrik. She is pre-deceased by her grandparents Gerhard Neumann & Friedel Jungst and Evariste Naud & Rose Anna Layman. Marlene did not let her illness slow her down. She met her mother for lunch weekly and enjoyed window shopping daily. She maintained a positive attitude throughout her illness and showed more concern for her family, partner and cat than for herself. She was a proud alumna of Concordia University where she earned a Bachelor of Commerce and worked passionately in several roles in the banking sector including many years as a licensed financial trader with several organizations. As a result of the Pandemic, attendance for the visitation will be held by invitation for family only at the Memorial Garden Funeral Complex Urgel Bourgie/Athos (8145, chemin de Chambly St-Hubert Québec J3Y 5K2) on Sunday December 19th at 3:30PM followed by a private celebration of life on December 22nd from 2pm to 4pm. As per Marlene’s wishes, cremation will be performed in advance of the service.
