Raymond Chammas
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Chammas in Montreal on April 13 2021, at the age of 97.
Loving husband to Marie-Thérèse (Mimi) Chammas (née Wakil) for the past 67 years, he leaves behind his son Roland (Josie Rinoldo) and their children Clélia (great grandchildren Razy and Riley), Junella and Christelle, his son Christian (Imma Franco) and their children Daniel (Konstantina Theodosopoulos) and Jonathan, his sister in law Liliane Wakil, his sister in law Mireille Kader (the late André Kader) and her children Monica, Sabrina (Marlon Bundag), Christopher (Julie Arsenault), Eric (Alison Biondi), his sister in law Mary Chammas (the late Fernand Chammas) and her children Edward (Gisèle Parthenais), Christine (Dave Devries) and Karen (Gordon Nixon). He also leaves behind his cousins and relatives from the Chammas, Wakil, Codsi and Kader families.
We thank all who have taken part in providing his healthcare, especially in his last months at the Theresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence.
Unfortunately in light of the pandemic, there will only be a private funeral celebration limited to 25 guests, at the Saint Sauveur Melkite Greek Catholic Cathedral, this Friday April 23 at 10:30 EST. The cathedral’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Cathedrale.Melkite/ will stream the event live and will have the video available for future viewing as of Friday afternoon.
