Richard Arcand
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of RICHARD ARCAND in Montreal on March 28, 2020. He was 66 years of age and had been battling cancer. Born in Cache Bay, Ontario, he was the son of Jean Arcand and Laura Arcand-Renaud (née Plouffe).
He leaves behind in grief his mother Laura, his sisters Suzanne (Charles Bouvier) and Marie, his brother Georges (Jean Salvas), his nephew Marc, his niece Isabelle, his godchild Emrick, his step-siblings (children of Fernand Renaud), as well as many loving friends.
Richard was selflessly devoted to his community as a volunteer in many organizations, notably the Society de Saint-Vincent de Paul and the Sacré Coeur Parish of Montreal.
The family wishes to thank the palliative care team of the Marie Clarac Hospital for their devotion and attentive care towards Richard.
Considering the current circumstances, the family will be hosting a ceremony in his honour at a later date, the details of which will be shared in time.
