It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband and uncle on February 21, 2020, leaving in bereavement his beloved spouse Duong Nguyet Nghi, and their nieces and nephews.

After obtaining his PhD at Cornell University, he was invited by his Canadian colleagues at Cornell to go to Canada, his adopted country. He spent his whole career as a devoted Physics teacher at Vanier College since its foundation until his retirement from Vanier. He then pursued his keen interests, travels abroad and several times to Hanoi, Vietnam, archival study of family history of the Nguyen and Duong families, tending his garden and his orchids, books, music, world history and politics.

The family would like to thank the Jewish General Hospital staff for their outstanding care and compassion. Those who would like to honour his memory are invited to make a donation to the Vanier College Foundation and/or the Jewish General Hospital Foundation.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, February 28 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Urgel Bourgie, 3955, chemin Côte-de-Liesse, St-Laurent.

A memorial service at Quan Âm Pagoda will follow at a later date.
