Freman Izzard
Izzard, Freeman E.- age 71 . Passed away peacefully on July 22nd 2018 at home surrounded by family. Born in Africville N.S November 24 1946 , Freeman moved to Montreal in 1986. He was the son of Frances Mae Cain-Beals and Freeman Izzard Sr. Freeman was employed with The Oxford Group for 23 years as Dock Manager. Freeman was always the life of the party, enjoyed a good game of Bid Whist and loved cooking and eating. He had an awesome smile and was a friend to everyone.
Freeman is survived by his children Clarice Colley(Dartmouth N.S); Ryan Johnson (Morgan),Montreal; Rhonda Fraser (Tony);Ottawa; Roy Dorrington (Darlene);Toronto; Darren Johnson (Catherine);Ottawa; Deanne Darrington;Ottawa. Sisters Etherona; Olive (Bubby); Margaret, Celina;Halifax; Sharon;New Market;Tracey;Toronto;Sarah;Sydney; Bessie;Montreal; Martina "Marty";North Preston;Carolyn (Carl);Cherrybrook; Mildred (Tinky);Cherry Brook. brothers; Robert (Karen)Toronto; Louie(Jean);Dartmouth. Godchildren Melinda Patterson (Terry) ;Winnipeg; Jasmine Wongus;Dartmouth; his long time good friend Webb Downey; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-granchildren , as well as many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Freeman was predeceased by his brothers; Herman; Barry; Silas.
The family would like to give a special "thank you" to Maxine (Mom) for all she's done for Dad (Freeman) over these past few months. A special thanks to his doctor, Dr. L. Normand of Verdun Hospital and nurses Linda and Isabelle from the Ash Street CLSC.
Visitation with family and friends will take place on July 31, 2018 from 1-2pm and the celebration of life will take place directly afterwards at 2:00pm at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral home, 2630 Notre-Dame West, Montreal, Quebec. Pastor Joel Anderson officiating. Reception to follow at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral home reception area.
