History
Acquired in 1991, the Saint-François-d’Assise complex is the largest funeral complex in east-end Montreal. It is also the largest service point in the Urgel Bourgie/Athos network, with seven viewing rooms, a chapel and four reception rooms, including a café. A vast parking lot accommodates the many visitors who flock here every week to bid their loved ones a final farewell.
Serenity
Neighboring the Repos St-François-d’Assise, formerly known as the Cimetière de l’Est, the complex enjoys close proximity to the largest burial ground in Montreal’s east end. A quiet place of peace, a stone’s throw from the cemetery from our point of service.
Innovation
The Saint-François-d’Assise complex is an industry trailblazer. Its modern design brings together all services under one roof. Whatever your needs or wishes, our team on Beaubien Street will meet them with respect.
Technology
The service point is equipped with the latest technology. From video capture and live broadcast of a celebration of life, to audio and video systems in each of the family rooms, as well as our virtual e-Memoris register, you’ll have access to the very latest technology in funeral industry.
Art
This funeral home is also home to the Eternita art gallery. Eternita offers personalized works of art, created by professional artists, including a small quantity of ashes of the loved one. The products are available and distributed throughout our network; however, the gallery is open to visitors, on-site at the Saint-François-d’Assise funeral complex.
